Liverpool John Moores University
Overview
Liverpool John Moores University’s National Challenging Stigma Indicators Pilot is a research project looking into the effect of stigma on those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
We had the privilege of working with Chris and Harry from LJMU to produce a series of videos that would become part of the project’s video interventions. The videos aim to share the stories behind the people that use recovery services, highlighting how they’ve been affected by stigma both in the past and presently, and how it can lead to a barrier to care. Here you can see Chris and Harry talking about the project and what it hopes to achieve, as well as how the project has opened Alex’s eyes to the stories behind those in recovery.
We produced a series of interview edits alongside b-roll footage of each of the locations the pilot programme is running in.
